Adam Minter is a columnist with Bloomberg View based in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to living in Kuala Lumpur, he spent twelve years living and writing in Shanghai, China. In addition to his work with Bloomberg, Adam has covered Asia’s recycling trade for more than a decade, serving as a correspondent for Scrap Magazine in Washington, D.C. and Recycling International in the Netherlands. His best-selling account of the recycling trade, “Junkyard Planet: Travels in the Billion Dollar Trash Trade” was published by Bloomsbury Press in 2013.
