Nerline Ballantyne-Veira
Nerline Ballantyne-Veira is guided by the personal philosophy that, “The destruction and degradation of the environment are everyone’s doing; therefore its preservation and conservation should be everyone’s responsibility”. Driven by her passion for the environment, Mrs Ballantyne -Veira pursued a Master of Arts in Environment, Development and Policy at the University of Sussex UK, currently ranked as #1 in the world in Development Studies. Before this, she graduated with Hons in Linguistics with Communication Studies from the University of the West Indies St. Augustine, Trinidad. She is an educator with over 10 years’ experience imparting valuable knowledge, skills and attitudes in the varying levels of the education system. During her tenure as Green Engineering and Communication Studies Lecturer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, her environmental stewardship was the principal motivator for the innovative Waste Management project she spearheaded.
