Karla is a registered Geographic Engineer with a master’s degree in Environmental Management. She has a specialization in solid waste management, environmental management, Project Management under the PMI approach, planning and budgeting, public administration and management, Environmental Impact Assessment, environmental education, socio-environmental conflicts, and Geographic Information Systems. She is a leader of the International Working Group on Integrated Solid Waste Management for Latin America and the Caribbean (FELACBEJA – JICA). Additionally, she teaches at various universities and private educational institutions.
