The webinar discussed the pressing issues related to uncontrolled dumpsites & landfills, weak organisational structures, a lack of appropriate skills, inadequate budgets, a lack of enforcement, and, most importantly, low public awareness.

The webinar also highlighted how bringing waste under control in Africa and unlocking the opportunities that “waste” provides as a “resource” will require immediate intervention by the government, business, and civil society.
