Eleni Iacovidou is a sustainable resource and waste management scientist specialising in circular economy and systems-based approaches to plastics. She is a Senior Lecturer at Brunel University London and leads the Centre for Pollution Research and Policy (CPRP). Her work focuses on understanding how value is created and lost across resource systems, and on designing interventions that enable more circular and inclusive outcomes. She developed the Complex Value Optimisation for Resource Recovery (CVORR+) framework, now applied internationally, including in the UK and Indonesia through the PISCES partnership. Eleni works closely with governments, industry, and international networks to support evidence-based strategies for sustainable resource management. Trained in chemistry and environmental engineering, with a PhD from Imperial College London, she brings a strong combination of scientific rigour, systems thinking, and policy engagement to advancing sustainable transitions.
