Programme Lead, Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW)
Priyanka Singh is a Programme Lead at the Council on Energy,
Environment, and Water (CEEW). At the Council, her research focuses
on air pollution, waste management and circular economy. She is
dedicated to conducting scientific investigations, using real-world data.
Her objective is to provide policymakers with evidence-based insights,
facilitating informed and scientifically grounded policy decisions.
Before joining CEEW, Priyanka worked in the Central Pollution Control Board as a Technical Consultant under the National Clean Air Program and was responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the National Clean Air Programme in the 17 Non-Attainment Cities (NACs) of Uttar Pradesh. She has also worked with a social enterprise called Saahas Zero Waste and has undertaken various waste management-related assignments.
The key projects included drafting urban and rural policies for solid waste, plastic waste, and C&D waste management for the state of Karnataka. Besides this, she was involved in conducting environmental Impact Assessment for various industries especially mines, metallurgical industries, cement plants, etc.
