As a sustainability professional, in a vast sector and surrounded by a fast moving range of issues, making an impact is a real challenge. Access to good networks and support from peers is crucial to support us in our work, inspire our ambitions and make change happen. Sharing experience and learning from others is key to the rapid acceleration of progress that we need. This webinar will introduce two vital support networks where you can access mentoring support, the Circular Economy Club and Sustainability Mentors. We will hear from Daniel O’Connor and Inna Chilik on how these networks are supporting the sustainability professionals of the future.

Inna Chilik, Global CE Database and Mentors Coordinator @Circular Economy Club

Inna is coordinating Circular Economy Club (CEC) Mentors program, connecting CEC Members who have vast experience in implementing circularity with young students, professionals, and start-ups who are trying to embed the circular economy in their projects. She has over 10+ years of experience as a strategic executive advisor and change agent, aiming to advance sustainable business transformation, though growing new leadership capacities, building ecosystems for disruptive innovation and empowering collaboration.

David O’Connor, Head of Customer Happiness, Warp It

David spends his time and expertise accelerating the transition to a sustainable economy. Having spent 20 years in Waste and Sustainability roles, he has saved companies over £30 million with waste reduction measures. Over the last 5 years he has focused on one project to achieve these aims- However, recently he is drawn to share his learnings and experience over different platforms and methods in order to help others maximize their impact. He creates services and content and speaks at events and workshops on Circular Economy, Sharing Economy, Tech for Good and productivity.

Emma Burlow, Head of Circular Economy, Resource Futures

Emma is one of the UK’s leading specialists on circular economy and sustainability in business. She has more than 20 years’ experience in the sector and is Head of Circular Economy for Resource Futures. Emma directs a range of circular economy projects for large and small businesses and the public sector; for Zero Waste Scotland’s CE Business Support programme and is a technical assessor for WRAP Wales’ Circular Economy Fund for business. She believes that sharing learning is the best way to speed up a transition to a more circular economy and in Feb 2020 launched her #CE100 series on social media, which aims to showcase 100 mainstream examples of circular business models or services. She is a mentor for the Circular Economy Club global network and has hands on experience of the challenges, barriers, drivers and ultimately, successful transition to more circular business models.
