This webinar intends to give an in depth look at European Waste Collection Systems, providing excellent insight in topics from transportation systems to the latest collection and sorting system technologies. The participant will learn about truck-based collection systems, bin systems for waste collection (including smart bin technologies), ENVAC vacuum system for waste collection, and the Optibag sorting system from three leading experts working on the ground in Germany and in Scandinavia.
The webinar will have three parts and each presenter will discuss a different aspect on the topic.
Bernd Leowald is the head of the department Northwest at Stadtreinigung Hamburg (SRH). The SRH is the municipal waste management company in Hamburg with 2600 employees. The department Northwest is a part of Hamburg with 620.000 inhabitants and an area of 138 square kilometers. He is responsible for waste collection, road cleaning and winter service in this part and also for bulky waste collection and container service in the whole area of Hamburg. He is a member of ISWA since 2002 and currently the Vice Chair of the Working Group on Collection and Transportation technology.
He will discuss types of trucks in this webinar.
Jürgen Jacoby, is the International Sales & Business Development at Envac Optibag AB. He has a background in energy technology and has been working in the energy sector for more than 20 years. The tasks covered the full value-chain from fuel and combustion related question to system integration and business development within this field. Since a few years back, he has been working with Envac Optibag with developing new markets for the vacuum-based waste transport system as well as the bag-in-bin concept.
In this webinar he will discuss vaccum systems.
Christian Bremer is currently working as the Managing Director at SSI SCHÄFER. With more than 10 years of experience in the waste industry, Christian specializes in custom digitalization solutions for the waste logistics industry. He supports international companies in the implementation of efficient collections and sustainable waste and resources treatment, as well as waste segregation, with the available technology suited to their needs.
