In partnership with Asian Development Bank Institute and support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
This webinar will help businesses in the field of Non-sewered Sanitation (NSS) and Fecal Sludge Management (FSM) grow using financially sustainable and scalable models by learning from leaders and practitioners in the field. Speakers are government officials and practitioners who have implemented successful city-wide programs in Asia. They will share their methods of implementation, drivers, and experience.
There has been a lot of talk about the need for non-sewered sanitation and fecal sludge management and the challenges in implementing solutions. But, the pace of implementing solutions to solve one of the most pressing issues in Asian cities – NSS and FSM — has been slow. Citizens of Asia are suffering from deterioration of public health, quality of life and the environment because cities do not have the capacity to build sanitation systems and institutionalize solutions.
With support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and be Waste Wise are deploying a scalable model which can create concise, ubiquitous and high-quality conversations through knowledge sharing to inspire action in NSS and FSM. This knowledge dissemination model was developed and implemented by be Waste Wise in the solid waste management sector worldwide.
