Plastics for Change

Andrew Almack’s entire career has been dedicated to creating a social impact through the recycling of plastic waste. In University, Andrew researched the economics of creating an eco-label to represent ethically sourced plastic. After graduating top of his concentrations from the Williams School of Business, Andrew went on to co-found three award winning social enterprises in the field of waste management. His endeavours include creating a recycled product line from ocean plastic with Lush Cosmetics, setting up Plastic Bank exchange centres in the slums of Lima Peru and leading a team of engineers in the development of 3D printing recycling technology. Andrew is currently working full time with Plastics For Change to increase recycling rates and reducing plastic pollution in India by using a mobile platform to provide urban waste pickers with fair market prices. Andrew’s passion for reducing plastic pollution is matched only by his love for social entrepreneurship.
