Ashwin is an environmental economics and policy consultant with 12 years of business and entrepreneurial experience across Asia. He is the CEO & founder at GA Circular, a research and strategy advisory firm that is driving the circular economy in Asia based on the principles of designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems. He specialises in developing circular economy solutions in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and India. He has led various technical projects with clients such as the World Bank, UN Environment, Singapore’s National Environment Agency, companies from petrochemical, packaging, consumer goods and recycling industries. His work includes recycling technologies assessments, materials-flow analyses, environmental economics research, business strategy development and developing industry coalitions across Asia. He is passionate about finding solutions to tackle climate change – especially the 45% of global greenhouse gas emissions that comes from making the products we use everyday. Ashwin is a 2018 National Geographic Grantee under the “Reducing Marine Plastic Pollution” program.
