Dean Pearce has responsibility for business development and account management for ReFood’s integrated food waste collection & recycling operation across the South East United Kingdom, working closely with organisations such as the Environment Agency, Savoy Hotel and many others to help them deliver on their sustainability aspirations through food waste recycling.
In 2013 Dean managed the publication of ‘Vision 2020: UK roadmap to zero food waste to landfill’, an initiative that pulled together industry-wide expertise alongside leading consultancy BioRegional to deliver a document highlighting the issues, challenges, case studies and solutions to food waste throughout the UK supply-chain. He has also represented ReFood on Defra’s Anaerobic Digestion policy working group and is a regular speaker at UK waste and recycling conferences.
