Managing Director, The Flipflopi Project Foundation,

As the Co-Founder of the Flipflopi, Dipesh has grown the Flipflopi from its volunteer driven roots to a fully operational recovery, recycling and upcycling facility and Vocational Training Centre with over 30 employees. Hailed as “Africa’s Blue Planet Moment” for building the world’s first recycled plastic sailing dhow, the Flipflopi is also leading a legislative campaign to advocate for a regional approach to eliminating unnecessary single-use plastics. Dipesh has an MA in Anthropology and has published two children’s book’s including an illustrated story about the Flipflopi that recently won the prestigious CABA Award from Howard’s University.
