Environmental Sustainability Officer, North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust
Karen is a Chartered Waste Manager and a specialist in healthcare waste management, she holds a BSc (Hons) in Geography has over 7 years’ experience in producer compliance. As Environmental Sustainability Officer at the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, she is responsible for waste compliance including the management of infectious and non-infectious wastes. Karen is a member of the CIWM’s Healthcare Waste Steering Committee which is responsible for producing technical publications, providing consultation responses and will also liaise with key stakeholders such as government bodies, regulators and other organisations on issues relating to the safe management of healthcare waste.
