With a background in environmental anthropology, agriculture and international development, Leigh is inspired by working closely with people, co-creating innovative ideas for a sustainable future. She has a First-class degree in Anthropology, winning the Prince of Wales Award for the best Undergraduate Research Project, a master’s degree in Anthropology, Environment and Development, and is working towards a second masters in climate change adaptation. Leigh has been working with IMA International, a capacity building and consultancy organisation, and has worked globally including Sudan, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Bangkok, Kenya, South Africa, Lesotho, Belgium, Italy, Panama, St Vincent, Dominica and in the UK, at multiple levels – from grassroots to government.
Leigh has been working on supporting and developing Theories of Change and M&E systems to support understanding and measuring impact for many organisations of different sizes and in different contexts, including climate finance organisations. She is also is a trustee of Swarm Dynamics, a UK based charity that uses arts and effective communications to help engage wider audiences on sustainable futures, focusing on systems level solutions. Leighs passion really lies in understanding how we make change happen, both at an individual level and globally, with the aspiration that humans can make the behaviour changes we need to make to support our planet for people and other species alike. In her spare time Leigh practices Ryu Shin Ken – a Japanese martial art.
