Co-founder and Co-director of U.S. Right

Stacy Malkan is co-founder and co-director of U.S. Right to Know, a nonprofit food industry research groups that advocates for truth and transparency in our food system. She is author of the award-winning book, “Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industry” (New Society, 2007) and co-founder of the national Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, where she generated international press coverage about toxic chemicals in personal care products and safer alternatives. Stacy has appeared on Good Morning America, Democracy Now!, and in the Washington Post, New York Times and many other news outlets, and she currently writes for The Ecologist, Huffington Post and Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting. Stacy is a former reporter and newspaper publisher, and she lives in the San Francisco area with her husband and son.
