V. Srinivas Chary

Professor Srinivas Chary leads the water, sanitation and urban development programme at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), a highly reputable think tank and post-experience management education institution. He is currently leading action research projects in cities in India in non-sewer sanitation (NSS) and Fecal Sludge Management in partnership with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). Prof. Chary was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship for promoting continuous (24-7) water supply in India. Over 25 years, he led over 180 advisory, consulting and research assignments both in India and South Asia and advises state and national governments on Smart City Mission. He played pivotal roles in the formulation of the National Urban Sanitation Policy and establishing WASH in School Benchmarking Programme (Swachh Vidhyala Puraskar).
