Biotechnologist by education, Kamal Raj is a Solid Waste Management professional. In the past, he has co-founded a social enterprise that works in environmental and civic action through behavioural change. In the last decade, he has led the Solid Waste Management programs at one of India’s largest corporate recognized by the UNGCA award. Where he is credited for achieving self-reliance in SWM through digitizing waste management across by automating and integrating the treatment system enabled by ML and AI. Currently, he heads the Impact Projects at rePurpose Global, the world’s leading Plastic Credit platform. He leads the impact creation through strategic projects across 5 countries. He is instrumental in ensuring that impactful partnerships and innovative projects are established in the most underserved regions while ensuring maximal environmental and social impact through plastic waste recovery.
