Dr. Peter Cohen is a Social Development Consultant for institutions including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the World Bank. He holds a Doctorate in Applied Anthropology from Columbia University and has more than 10 years’ experience in involuntary resettlement and informal livelihoods issues in donor-supported infrastructure interventions. Over the past 6 years, Dr. Cohen has focused particularly on the design and implementation of informal sector inclusion strategies in the solid waste sector, in countries including Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Morocco, Ghana, Haiti, Peru, West Bank-Gaza, Guyana, Tunisia, Guatemala and Kyrgyzstan.
