Rich Uto is the owner of Satsuma Farms and the first strawberry grower in the world to achieve the Sustainably Grown certification from SCS Global Services. Since 2008, Uto has been a grower-partner of California Giant Berry Farms, growing on over 180 acres. Uto’s introduction to agriculture came as a young man, working alongside his father in the cut flower business. In his spare time, Uto spends time with his two sons and daughter and remains active in the community as a high school football coach.
