Robert’s research is focused on consumption, waste, and design for the circular economy. He has coedited two collections of essays on this topic, Unmaking Waste: Towards the Circular Economy (Emerald 2018), and Subverting Consumerism: Reuse in an Accelerated World (Routledge 2018). He is currently working on a collaborative research project on ‘implementing the circular economy in regional South Australia’ and co-editing another book of essays on reuse, The World is already full: Creative responses to the waste crisis (Intellect).
