Every day, communities, municipalities, and individuals around the world are making decisions about waste—and most of them don’t have access to the expertise they need. We continue to see landfill fires, poor technological decisions, and rising plastic pollution. Informal recyclers don’t get the attention they deserve, and policymakers continue to reinvent the wheel.
be Waste Wise tries to close that gap. Our platform also prioritizes dialogue and diversity - hence our experts range from grassroots community workers in Zambia to engineers in Indonesia and policymakers in the Caribbean.
All our content from the last decade is archived and available to our community at no cost. No paywalls. Our community members have told us that they use our webinars to train their staff, incorporate data from our webinars into published reports, influence policy, and network with experts around the world.
Recent webinars have tackled EPR, e-waste, food rescue, and policy updates across the United States and India. Expert moderators include scientists, professors, sustainability founders, and waste sector leaders from across 5 continents.
It takes our team (of three), thousands of hours and dollars of research to coordinate and produce webinars that truly impact our community. It costs real money to keep the lights on.
With just $20, you can ensure our content stays free and open — past recordings remain accessible to anyone, anywhere, forever.
That’s the whole ask
500 people giving $20 each would fund be Waste Wise for an entire year. That’s another 12 months of free expert webinars, community building, and knowledge production.
Every donation counts. Share this with one person who cares about the planet.
